Description

This building is a house dating from the late 16th to 17th century, located on Burton Lane in Princes Risborough. It features a timber frame with brick infill, including panels of 17th-century herringbone brickwork on the left bays. The ground floor and part of the left bay have been rebuilt in brick, and there is a rendered plinth. The roof is half-hipped and covered with old tiles, and there is a chimney with triple shafts made of thin brick and a later brick top situated between the right bays. An additional external chimney is located on the left side. The house has an L-plan layout and is 1½ to 2 storeys high with three bays.

On the ground floor, there are four 20th-century leaded casement windows, with the leftmost window featuring a segmental head and the second window being a small oriel. The first floor has similar windows in the left bays, along with a three-light casement window in a gabled dormer at the eaves line on the right. The central bay contains a 20th-century door set within a gabled timber porch. Inside, there are heavy curved braces in the rear wing, and the interior also showcases chamfered spine beams and stop-chamfered joists. Attached to the rear wing is a single-storey range with a timber frame, 20th-century brick infill, and a pantile roof, which was likely once an outbuilding.
