Description
This is a row of three small houses dating from the 17th century and the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The three bays to the right of the centre are timber-framed with whitewashed brick and plaster infill, with the ground floor largely rebuilt in whitewashed brick. The bay to the far right and Flint Cottage, on the left, are of flint with brick dressings; Flint Cottage features regular flush brick strings and vertical brick strips framing the windows. The roof is thatched and hipped to the left, with two brick chimneys positioned between the houses. The houses are one and a half to two storeys high. Flint Cottage has three bays containing three-light leaded casement windows, with the first-floor windows being original and the ground-floor windows replacements from the 20th century, featuring segmental heads. A 20th-century two-light casement window is present in the right-hand bay, within a blocked doorway. There is an entrance on the left-hand side of Flint Cottage. Moss Rose has an early 20th-century rectangular bay window with leaded lights, a 20th-century two-light leaded casement window partly within the thatch, and a 20th-century door, with a lean-to hood to the right. Churchways has three bays with barred wooden casement windows on the ground floor. The left bays have three-light casement windows in the thatched roof, the left of which has original leaded lights, the right of which has a central leaded light. A 20th-century door, with a glazed panel revealing wattle and daub above, is located in the left bay.
