Description
Standalls Farmhouse is a house from the early 18th century that has been altered. It is constructed of red and blue brick on a stone plinth, with the south front rendered to give the appearance of ashlar stone. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles, featuring a moulded brick eaves cornice. The building is two storeys tall and has an H-plan layout, with one-bay wings and a three-bay recessed centre.
On the south front, there are three-light casement windows in the wings, and flanking and central projecting chimney stacks in the recessed centre, which has two-light casements on either side of the central stack. There is a glazed door to the right on the ground floor. The north front features segmental arched windows, with a three-light window in the left-hand wing, a two-light window in the centre, and a blank panel in the centre of the first floor. The windows in the right-hand wing have been altered. Additionally, there is a modern lean-to on the left-hand side.
