Description
Iolanthe Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of chequer brick, has a rendered right gable, and features an old tile roof. There is an early 19th-century brick chimney on the right and a mid-19th-century white brick chimney in the center. The house is two storeys tall and has two bays. The left bay includes a corner pilaster. The window openings were altered in the 19th century and now contain three-light wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars. The ground floor windows have cambered red brick heads. There is a boarded door with a similar head and a later 19th-century lean-to porch located off-centre to the right. The left gable has two bays of windows with segmental heads; the right bay is blind, while the left bay features old paired leaded casements.
