Description
Town Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of chequer brick with vitreous headers, featuring an off-set plinth and a band course at the first floor level. The roof is made of old tiles, and there is a 20th-century brick chimney on the left side. The building has a U-plan layout with two lower wings at the rear. The front range consists of two storeys and an attic, with three bays. It has old three-light leaded casements that have rendered and painted voussoir heads. There are two gabled dormers, which were rebuilt in the 20th century, each with paired leaded casements. Between the left bays is an early to mid-19th century flush-panelled door, framed with a wooden architrave and topped with a cornice hood. The rear wing on the right bay is pebble-dashed and contains one two-light casement with old diamond leading. The interior was refurbished in the mid-19th century.
