Stable Block at Cottage Farm

Dated 1872, brick with highly ornamental moulded work to door and window arches, eaves, first floor band etc. Tiled roof with band of fish-scale tiles and wooden louvre on ridge left of centre with steep tiled turret roof. Iron finials each end. One storey and 2 storey tower left of centre with conical roof and pigeon loft in moulded brick eaves resembling machicolation. Double arched window to ground floor, loft door above. Angled and offset buttress on right. Section to right of tower with machicolated eaves, later canopy. Section on left has semi-circular arched door in centre, stone capped buttress and 3-light casement each side. Stone plaque in left hand gable. Right hand gable has large herringbone brick panel with stepped head, triple attic vents with shaped ends above and arched window below.
