Description

Lock Number 29 on the Grand Union Canal is a canal lock built around 1800, with some alterations made later. It features brick retaining walls topped with stone coping. The lock has two pairs of gates equipped with sluices and winding gear, with the quoins dated 1864 and 1869. Additionally, there are two side ponds with winding gear that date from 1882, and four cast iron bollards are present.
