Description

This is a 17th-century cottage, altered and extended in later periods. The cottage is timber-framed with red brick infill and brick facing. It has an old tiled roof. Gateway Cottage has two storeys, and its south-west elevation features a modern door, a single three-light window, and two two-light casement windows on the ground floor; two further three-light casement windows are on the first floor. A one-storey wing on the left displays exposed timber framing in the gable. A large, offset chimney is located at the north-east end of the main cottage. Tudor Cottage is comprised of a one-storey and attic north-east wing and a modern wing to the north-west. The Tudor Cottage section is rendered and painted and has an old tiled roof with modern casement windows.
