Description
New House, dated 1848 on the porch, features a contemporary forecourt wall and railings. The house is built from coursed, squared rubble with quoins and has a graduated slate roof. The wall is made of a single course of large stone blocks with chamfered edges, topped with cast-iron railings. The building is symmetrical, consisting of 2 storeys and 3 bays. It has a central panelled door located under a porch with a flat roof supported by 4 gadrooned columns. There is a single sash window on either side of the door on each floor, all featuring glazing bars within stone surrounds. The house has stone chimneys at both ends. The railings are made of panels approximately 2 feet high, with square standards at the bottom and trellis-work at the top. The building next to the right of the house is not of interest.
