Description
The stable range, now used as a store, is located immediately west of Hacker Gill Farmhouse in Dent. It was probably built in the 19th century and is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and a slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan oriented on an east-west axis, facing south. It features two low storeys, with a square 16-pane window and a square loading doorway at the center. To the left, there are a pair of square doorways, while to the right, there is a similar doorway and window. The west gable wall has a doorway and an altered square window, and there are steps leading up the east gable wall to a loft doorway. This stable range is part of a significant rural group with Hacker Gill Farmhouse.
