Description

The base to the market cross and pillar, located in Austwick, dates from the 15th century for the base and the 1830s for the pillar. The base is made of conglomerate and stands on three steps of millstone grit. The pillar is designed in the Tuscan style, constructed from millstone grit, and features a ball finial on its capital.
