Description
Sunny Bank is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-18th century and the 20th century. It features rendered stone dressings and a stone slate roof, and has a central staircase plan. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. The entrance, located to the right of centre, consists of a four-panel door with the upper two panels glazed. The left-hand ground floor window has a plain surround, while the right-hand ground floor window is a two-light flat-faced mullioned window. There is also a single-light chamfered window on the extreme right of the ground floor. On the upper floor, there were originally three-light chamfered mullioned windows, but the left-hand window has been altered to a two-light window with one central mullion repositioned, and the right-hand window is missing its mullions. All windows now have 20th-century casements. The house has a gabled end on the left and ridge stacks on the right. It is included in the listing for its group value.
