Description
Stone Gill Foot is a building that consists of two cottages, now functioning as one farmhouse. It dates from the mid to late 17th century and the late 18th century. The structure is built from coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and a total of four first-floor windows. The right side of the building has quoins.
In the second bay, there is a board door set within an ashlar surround. The fourth bay features another board door, which is surrounded by a two-light double-chamfered mullion window that has a hood-mould. On the ground floor, the first bay contains a 6-pane sash window in an ashlar surround, while the third bay also has a 6-pane sash window.
On the first floor, from left to right, there are an 8-pane sash window and two-light casement windows, both in ashlar surrounds, as well as two-light mullion windows with double-chamfered hollow-moulded surrounds. A shaped kneeler is present on the right side of the building. There are stacks located at the left end and between the second and third bays.
