Description
The barn located to the south-east of Fell View Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building, originally a two-storey house with an attic, dating from the 17th century with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and features a graduated slate roof that projects at the gable ends.
On the west side, the original door has a false four-centred arch and is now within a 20th-century corrugated-iron lean-to. To the left of this door, there are steps leading up to a hay loft door, with a byre door situated immediately below. The east side of the barn has a part-blocked three-light window on the ground floor, with a four-light window above it. Additionally, part of a two-light attic window remains in the north gable. All windows are adorned with chamfered stone surrounds and mullions.
Please note that the adjoining range on the east side and the 20th-century lean-tos to the north and west are not included in this listing.
