Description
The White House is a house dated 1748 that has been subdivided. It is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and features a graduated slate roof with stone coping and a kneeler on the west side. There are 19th-century brick chimneys located to the west of each subdivision. The main house is two storeys high and has four bays. A 20th-century door includes a panel with a dated inscription above it, and there are three 20th-century sash windows with glazing bars on each floor, arranged with one to the left and two to the right of the door.
At the rear, there is a gabled extension that is rendered, featuring late 20th-century windows and doors under concrete lintels. The east end of the property, which was originally a byre with a hay loft above, is now residential and has two windows on the ground floor and one on the first floor, with the ground floor right window occupying the original doorway. There are steps leading up to a 20th-century glazed door in the east wall at the first floor level, and the windows in this section are 20th-century casements with glazing bars.
