Description
The Low Houses Byre, located approximately 10 metres south-west of the farmhouse, is a byre dated 1727. It is constructed from coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and features two storeys with two openings on the first floor. The building has quoins and on the ground floor, from the left, there is a board door set in a quoined ashlar surround that has a decorative motif in a recessed panel and the date on the lintel. Next to it is a 20th-century panelled door also in a quoined ashlar surround. Above the right door, there are two brackets that support a projecting first-floor platform. On the first floor, from the left, there is a single-light window opening in an ashlar surround and a board door in a quoined ashlar surround.
