Description
Central Farmhouse, along with an adjoining barn and granary, is dated 1688 and features initials 'A. F.' in raised lettering above the porch. The building is constructed from coursed, squared rubble and has a graduated stone-flagged roof with stone mid-chimneys. It is two storeys high and has a four-bay front on the east side. The entrance includes a part-glazed door within a wooden porch. A 19th-century sash window has replaced the central original window, which was one of three mullioned windows, each featuring two semicircular-headed lights and a continuous hoodmould with labels. Above, there are two sashes and a blocked trefoil-headed opening over the porch. A single door to the barn has been added at the south end under the same roof, while the granary at the north end has steps leading up to a loft door and a segment-headed cart entrance on the north return. A 19th-century extension is located at right angles to the rear.
