Description

This is a Congregational manse, likely built around 1835. It is located in Dent Town, near Flintergill. The manse is constructed of white-painted rubble with a slate roof. It has a symmetrical design, with two storeys and two windows. The front features a square-headed doorway with a plain surround and a stone-slate hoodmould. The doorway has a six-panel door, and a pitched canopy has been added under the hoodmould. There are two large, hornless 16-pane sash windows on the ground floor, both with similar hoodmoulds. The upper floor has two matching sash windows directly below the eaves. Stone gutter brackets are present in groups of two and three. Gable chimneys are visible. The rear of the building and its interior have not been inspected. The manse forms a group with the nearby Zion Chapel, located to the north-east.
