Description
The Runham Swim Windpump is a drainage windpump located at TG 47001000. It was built in the mid-19th century and restored between 1983 and 1986 by R.M. Seago, a millwright, and the Norfolk Windmills Trust. The structure features a two-storey, tapering tower made of tarred brick, with a timber cap. There is a doorway on the south side and a first-floor window on the west side. The windpump has a boat-shaped cap and petticoat that are weatherboarded. It includes a fan cradle and winding gear, along with a cast iron windshaft, an upright shaft, and a wallower. The timber clasp arm brakewheel is also present. Originally, the windpump had an internal scoop wheel, but this and the pit wheel are now missing.
