Description
Six Mile House Drainage Mill is a derelict windpump from the mid 19th century, featuring a tarred brick tower and the remains of a boat-shaped cap. The tower is circular and tapers, standing three storeys tall. There are opposing openings for entrance doors on the ground floor, with one window opening each on the first floor and the cap floor, all framed by segmental brick arches. The structure includes two stocks and four 9-bay sails, along with the cap frame and machinery. There are also remains of a fanstage. Inside, the machinery is connected to an external scoop wheel with wooden starts.
