Description
This is a barn located 50 meters north of Stokesby Hall, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and thatch, featuring a central full-height double doorway on the north side, which currently has no doors due to a 20th-century steel and asbestos barn that abuts it. The barn has brick pilasters on a plinth course, and each bay includes a butterfly honeycomb ventilation panel. The west gable wall has been rebuilt, and there are brick and pantile outshuts against the south side. The roof is supported by tie beams on knuckle braces, with two tiers of taper-tenoned butt purlins and some straight windbracing. This barn is included in the listing for its group value with Stokesby Hall.
