Description

Hall Farm House is a farmhouse dated 1815, which was refronted in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features pantiled roofs. The building has a 'T' shaped plan, consisting of two storeys and attics, with a three-bay facade facing south. The central entrance has a six-panel door topped with a stained glass fanlight. The doorcase includes panelled reveals, engaged reeded columns, and a projecting cornice. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, stone sills, and flat gauged brick arches. The roof is hipped with end stacks.

The lower northern wing has three windows that contain 20th-century three and four-light casements set in the original openings, also with flat gauged brick arches. A central 20th-century porch has been added, along with an inserted door and casement. The northern gable features a blank window with a gauged brick ogee head that contains a date plaque, flanked by two oval oculi with gault brick reveals and diagonal timber lattice.

Inside, the 19th-century features include a dogleg stair with a square balustered and wreathed hardwood handrail, along with carved tread ends. There are two and six-panel doors, architraves, and moulded plaster cornices. The fireplaces are fitted with cast iron grates. The date plaque displays the monogram ERB and the year 1815.
