Description

Buckenham War Memorial is situated in the churchyard of St Nicholas Church on Church Road in Buckenham. The memorial features a small stone Latin cross that stands on a tapering plinth and a small square-sectioned step. The cross head is adorned with a floriated cross carved in relief on the front surface. The front of the plinth has an inscription in leaded lettering, although it is difficult to read.

The inscription reads: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF OUR BROTHERS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR KING AND COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1918 (NAMES)."
