Description
Hill House is an early 18th century farmhouse located in South Burlingham. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a reed-thatched roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a one-and-a-half storey wing to the southeast, creating an L-shaped plan. The windows are primarily 20th century replacements, consisting of two and three-light casements, with some ground floor openings having segmental heads. The main elevation faces southeast and includes a three-window range with a central part-glazed entrance door. There is a lower projecting wing that has a swept dormer. The gables are parapeted with tumbling in, and the house has an off-centre axial stack along with internal stacks at the south and east gables. In the south gable, there are two attic casements featuring leaded glazing.
