Description

A row of three cottages located in Malling Fields, Lewes, built in the early 18th century and refaced in the 19th century. The cottages are timber-framed with a red brick ground floor, rendering to the extreme left, and a first floor clad in tiles. The eaves are rendered with a band, and the roof is hipped and covered in tiles, featuring two tilehung dormers and a central brick stack. The cottages are arranged over two storeys and have attics. The fenestration is irregular, with five windows on the first floor and six on the ground floor; most windows are glazing bar sashes, except for the one on the right-hand side of the ground floor. Boarded doors are located to the left of the right-hand window for No. 1, to the right of the second window from the left for No. 3, and to the right of the extreme left window for No. 5.
