Description

Old Tanyard Cottage is a house built around 1830. It features grey brick construction with orange brick quoins and dressings. The roof is slate with boxed eaves, end stacks, and a dormer at the rear. The cottage has two storeys and an attic, with a regular front that includes five windows. The windows are glazing bar sashes set within flat-arched gauged and dressed surrounds. The central entrance is gauged and round-arched, topped by a Gothick-glazed fanlight, and there is a margin-half-glazed door.
