Description

This primary school, built in 1864, features walls made of knapped flint with Bath stone dressings. Notable architectural elements include a plinth, stepped buttresses, a stepped chimney stack, and windows with ogee heads for both single and coupled lights, as well as mullion and transom lights in the larger units, all beneath hoodmoulds. The building has a steep slate roof and exhibits a Gothic style with an irregular form. The east front showcases a large gable on the south side, a prominent chimney stack, and a gabled porch on the north side. The north end displays a double-pile roof, with a smaller gable set back on the west side that features a stone bell turret. The rear elevation has been altered with enlarged 20th-century windows.
