Description
The Red Lion Public House is an early 18th-century building with a lower wing added in the early 19th century, located on Warnford Road in West Meon. The walls are made of painted brickwork, featuring a plinth and rubbed flat arches adorned with decorative keys in the Coade style. There is a first-floor band that is obscured by a boarded sign. The building has a tiled roof with a prominent moulded and coved plaster cornice that includes floral decoration and hipped dormers. The symmetrical east front has two storeys and an attic, with five windows. The ground floor features Victorian sash windows, and there is a plain doorway with a six-panelled door. The simpler north side extension has two storeys and two windows, along with carriage openings that now form a shallow recess.
