Description

Hatch Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, featuring timber framing with early 19th century cladding at the rear. The exposed frame includes painted brick infill. It has a steep roof covered with 20th century tiles, with a tile-hung gable at the front and a hip that extends to low eaves on the south side. The building is L-shaped, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with irregularly placed windows. It has casement windows, some of which have old leaded lights, and a half-glazed door set in a brick porch. Inside, there is a massive moulded beam.
