Description
Little Ashford Farmhouse is a house dating back to the 17th century, with significant alterations in the mid-19th century. The walls are a mix of ironstone, brick in Flemish bond, and later, polygonal malmstone, all with brick quoins. The gables extend up to the first floor level and are covered in tiles with scalloped bands. The roof is tiled, with a catslide at the rear.
The west front is symmetrical, featuring three windows over two storeys. It has casement windows. A wide, recessed doorway, added in the early 20th century, is flanked by windows above brick panels. A large, stepped chimney stack is located at the north end.
Inside the rear outshot, a former external window with moulded wooden mullions can be seen. A single-storeyed service block, constructed in the early 20th century with brick and tile, extends to the south.
