Description

Mabbotts Farmhouse is a 17th and 18th century farmhouse. It has timber-framed walls resting on a deep rubble stone base, with malm stone and plaster infill, and upper walls that are tile-hung. The roof is hipped and thatched, with eyebrow dormers, and a shafted stack. Originally a lobby-entrance house, it has extensions dating to the 18th century (timber-framed) and 19th century (brickwork). The south-east front is one storey and attic in height, with three windows. It features casement windows, one of which is an old leaded light. A heavy doorframe supports a boarded door, sheltered by a tiled canopy.
