Description

This is a pair of cottages located on The Street in Binsted. They date back to the 17th century, with additions and alterations in the early 19th century, and restoration work in the 20th century. The cottages are timber-framed with brick and plaster cladding, and have a tile roof. The two-storey, three-window front faces east. The roof is half-hipped, with a low eaves extension on each side, a catslide roof at the rear, and a flat-roofed dormer at each end. The timber frame is exposed, with painted brick and plaster infill above a rubble stone plinth. The windows are casements. There are two large gabled porches with bricknogged timber frames and half-glazed doors.
