Description

Kings Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century with alterations in the early 19th century. It is built of stone, with a 20th-century tiled roof. The house is situated at an angle to the roadway, and comprises an older central section, a north extension, and a south cross-wing; the front (east) elevation has two storeys and an attic, and one storey and an attic with a three-window arrangement.

The roof slopes down at the north end, featuring a catslide at the rear, and a gable facing the front of the cross-wing. Three flat-roofed dormers are present, with cills at eaves level, and a shafted stack. The walls are of squared malmstone, with the cross-wing (early 19th century) featuring brick dressings and a plinth. Casement windows are present. The plain doorway has a thin slate canopy supported by bold ornamental brackets dating from around 1900, and a four-panelled door.
