Description

Peppercorn Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage that has been converted into a store. It is constructed from rubble flint with brick bands and dressings. The front of the building features an old plain tile roof, while the rear is thatched. The cottage is single storey with an attic and has an outshot at the rear. The front elevation includes a double door at the road end and a segmental-headed 18th-century planked door next to it. The roof is half-hipped and has a stack on the gable end facing the road. Historically, it served as a village poor-house.
