Description
Chapel Farmhouse is a late medieval timber-framed hall house with a crosswing. It was altered over the centuries, with early 19th-century recladding and a rear outshot. A late 19th-century stable extension is now incorporated into the house, and there have been 20th-century renovations and the addition of a porch. The walls are now brick, laid in a Flemish Garden Wall bond, with cambered ground-floor openings. The roof is tiled, hipped and half-hipped, with a catslide at the rear, and features a shafted stack. The south front has two storeys and four windows, with casement windows. A plain door is set within a 20th-century open porch with a conical roof.
