Description
Old Farm is a house that dates back to the late medieval period and features a crosswing. It underwent alterations around 1600, which included the addition of fireplaces and an upper floor in a lobby-entrance layout, along with some minor extensions in the 20th century. The north-east gable has exposed framing with brick infill, while part of the front gable is mostly tile-hung. The other walls are constructed of brickwork in Flemish bond. The roof is tiled, hipped, and half-hipped, with a gable at the front and a catslide at the rear, leading to a 20th-century block.
The hall has a two-storeyed crosswing and outshots at the rear and south-west end, which were raised in the late 19th century. The south-east front elevation features two storeys with four windows and casements, along with a boarded door in a plain frame. Inside, the exposed framing reveals the building's construction phases, with the lobby entrance corresponding to an original staircase on the opposite side of the chimney block. A 17th-century partition wall consists of vertical panels.
