Description
Tuckvar is a building dating from around 1790, located on the west side of West Street in Alfriston. It is two storeys high with an attic and features three windows and three dormers. The exterior is faced with buff mathematical tiles and has a wooden eaves cornice with imitation machicolation. The roof is slate. The first floor retains its glazing bars, while the ground floor has two large bays. A porch, situated between the bays, is supported by Doric columns and features a pediment. The porch contains a round-headed doorway with a semi-circular fanlight and a door made up of six fielded panels.
