Description

The Blacksmith Shop is a building located on West Street in Alfriston. It dates from the mid-19th century but is a re-use of an earlier structure, with the walls raised. The building is a single storey and features one window. Its exterior is faced with flints, with some areas patched with red brick. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles. The shop is still in use as a forge and retains its original fittings.
