Description

The Chaise House is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of West Street in Alfriston. It is two storeys tall and features three windows. The exterior is made of painted brick and has a wide eaves cornice. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. The glazing bars are intact. The doorway includes a segmental fanlight and a door with six fielded panels, which has been enhanced with modern pilasters and a pediment. There is also a modern bay window with five lights on the south side of the building.
