Description
E and P Marshall (Newsagent), known as The Singing Kettle and Waterloo Stores, is a building located in Alfriston Market Square. It dates back to the 17th century or earlier and features a timber-framed structure, which has been largely refaced with plaster and flints, although some timbering is still visible on the west wall. The building has a hipped tiled roof and consists of two storeys with five windows. The first floor has casement windows, while the ground floor has small modern shop windows. It is noted that one of the houses within this building is said to contain wall paintings.
