8/41 Wall with niche for seat 5.12.55 30m NE of Marwell Hall

GV II

Wall. Circa 1816. Brick with some flint. Connected to NE corner of house, wall curves round through a semi-circle to run E, 30m N of house. Plain brick work with brick on edge coping and buttresses along rear at 10m intervals. Near house end 3 pointed doorways. Halfway along wide depressed arch with blue brick springing, with niche behind, under tiled roof containing garden seat. Wall ramped up either side to form parapet above arch with blue brick coping.
