Description
This is a 17th-century farmhouse, largely rebuilt in the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame encased in brick tiles and mathematical tiles, and has a slate roof and brick stacks. The main front range is three bays wide, with wings extending to the rear. The farmhouse is two storeys and has an attic. The front is covered in yellow mathematical tiles. A yellow brick, pedimented, single-storey porch was added in the 19th century, containing a 20th-century door, with paired 4-panel doors on either side. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows, and a moulded cornice runs above. The centre bay features a pediment above the first-floor window, with a bull’s-eye attic window. Flanking the centre are further 4-pane sash windows.
