Description
Cobbler Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with a late 18th-century exterior. The walls are reclad in roughly coursed malmstone, featuring brick quoins and a plinth. It has a thatched half-hipped roof, with exposed framing in the gables and eyebrow dormers. This timber-framed house has a lobby entrance and consists of three bays, with the front (east) side being one storey and an attic, and it has three windows. The windows are 20th-century leaded casements, and there is a plain doorway with a four-panelled door.
Inside, there is a massive back-to-back 17th-century fireplace with an oven, along with the old staircase located opposite the entrance.
