Description

Number 4 Wakes Cottages is a 17th-century cottage featuring an exposed massive frame with plaster infilling and several lower brick panels. The north and west walls also display exposed framing with plaster infill, along with some lower stone panels. The cottage has a thatched roof that is half hipped at the north end and hipped at the south, with a low eaves above the extension. It is a timber-framed building with a south side extension, presenting a front (east) that is one storey and an attic high, with two above three windows that are casements. There is a boarded door set in a plain frame.
