Description

The building is a brewhouse, now used as a store, dating from the mid-18th century. It features walls made of malmstone ashlar with brick quoins, cambered arches over the openings, and a stepped plinth band. The roof is pyramid tiled with brick dentil eaves. This square, single-storey structure has a window on the east wall and a door on the west side, which faces the service yard. The door is plain, and above it is a plaque inscribed with "GW 1765." The brewhouse was built by Gilbert White.
