Description

East Worldham House is a house built in the late 18th century and early 19th century. It has walls made of ashlar, flat arches, and stone cills. The building is a square block with two lower wings on the north side. The south elevation is symmetrical, featuring two storeys and five windows. It has a low-pitched hipped slate roof with plain eaves and simple eaves moulding. The windows are sashes set in reveals, although some have been filled in, and the south-east side is partially obscured by an open brick verandah. A central French window is located beneath a fanlight.

The east elevation also has two storeys with a configuration of two, one, and one windows, maintaining a similar style, although the ground floor windows are lowered. The north side includes a lower service wing. The west elevation, which serves as the entrance, features a central porch with a large window above and four additional windows. The Tuscan porch is supported by two columns and two pilasters, with a four-panelled door beneath a fanlight.

At the rear, there is a staircase window in the older part of the house, along with service wings from the early and late 19th century. This side is notable for its tile roof, indicating that the building's general Regency style is likely the result of renovations in the early 19th century of a mid-18th century house. Inside, the features reflect the Regency style, including a staircase, panelled doors with architraves, and some fireplaces.
