Description

A range of barns forming an L-shape, dating to the early 18th century. The initial barn is a timber frame structure of eight bays, featuring an aisle on one side and entrances at the third and sixth bays. It has tall Queen Post Trusses with angled struts and curved braces, and boarded walls. The roof is half-hipped and tiled, with a hip above the projecting waggon entrances. A later barn, added in the late 18th century, is constructed of timber frame and comprises four bays with aisles to the long sides. This barn also features Queen Post Trusses, boarded walls, and a half-hipped tile roof. The two barns are linked by a structure built in the early 19th century, of a similar form with walls boarded above a malmstone base, and a tile roof.
