Description
Lythe Farmhouse is a house dating from the early and late 18th century, and the early 19th century. It features brick walls constructed in Flemish bond and Flemish Garden Wall bond with blue headers on the end gables, while the rear walls are made of malmstone with brick dressings. The roof is tiled with a catslide at the rear, and there are brick dentil eaves along with a central gable supported by brackets. The southeast front of the house is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and an attic with three windows. It has a casement window within an ogee frame in the gable, sash windows with Gothic bars in ogee openings, and a central circular window. There is a projecting brick porch from the early 19th century, featuring a gable between raised piers on each side, an ogee arch with brick spandrels above a lintel, and a door that is panelled with quatrefoils, all accessed by three steps.
