Description

Patcham Windmill is a brick structure dating to 1885. It is three storeys high, circular in plan, and features a string course above the second floor. The cap, which houses the machinery, is of a beehive design and topped with a ball finial. The windmill’s exterior is brick, coated with cement, and the cap appears to be covered with green tiles. A fantail, with ribs and sweeps, is positioned on the structure; some of the sweeps were replaced after 1952. The interior of the windmill was not inspected during the listing process.
