Description

This is a barn located at Hill Ash Farm, built in the mid-18th century. It features a timber frame with an exterior clad in brick laid in English bond and has a half-hipped tiled roof. The roof is designed with an angled queen structure, mostly lacking a ridge piece, and includes staggered purlins and jowled posts with a cut profile. The barn has an aisle on one side supported by four posts on padstones, with one post cut away near the top. This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
